The project featured participants from Gospel Oak, Rhyl and Swiss Cottage primary schools in Camden and it catered for (and I must say, enthralled) these young musicians including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This was a revisited version of an already very effective educational project, and it featured music from Purcell's Fairy Queen and some of the story from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The interactive performance showcased music by Purcell and others, with through-composed music by James Redwood (wonderful animateur and composer). The additional music had been specially composed to allow for musical interaction with the students. The students sang and played instruments with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and they followed a musical story, dramatically acted and sung by Kirsty Hopkins (Soprano) and Timothy Dickinson (Bass). The students were very involved in the concert and rehearsal process.

The fantastic music and captivated audience of young learners made it an uplifting, inspiring day. 

I played first trumpet with Brendon Musk on second and William Edwards on percussion.
